Fun swimming pool trends
Here are some of the trends we see in the future for 2018 and beyond.
- Sunshelves and swim up water features. If you’ve ever gone on an all-inclusive vacation, chances are you have seen swim-up bars. You can have a swim-up bar for your own swimming pool! If you’re not inclined to do that you can add sunshelves to the swimming pool. With sunshelves you can be partially immersed in the water but you can also relax and lie back on sunshelves.
- Fire and water — this trend rarely goes out of style, but the way in which the two are paired sometimes change. Fire and water features are both functional and beautiful. With a fire feature you can essentially and easily extend the amount of time you spend poolside.
- Sport or lap pools. If you don’t have a lot of yard space to devote to a traditionally sized swimming pool and you truly just want to swim laps, these pools fill the bill. There is also no reason you can’t throw a pool party if you own a lap pool.
- Pool cleaning with fewer chemicals. Saltwater chlorination is a new trend. If you’re interested in a salt water chlorination system, please let us know.
- Automation. You can clean your pool between service visits with a robotic pool cleaning system. You can also have automation installed that will help you add chlorine to the pool, open and close the pool cover, turn on the pump and operate the pool lighting among other items.
Don’t get too “trendy” with your swimming pool as it may fall out of favor and you’ll be left with a pool feature that you simply don’t enjoy any longer!
