Should your pool be remodeled

Is there a bright shining beacon that shines when it’s time to remodel your swimming pool? Unless some major component breaks, your liner rips or other issues befall the pool structure, it might be little items that lead to you work with the swimming pool contractors from SwimRight Pools to have your pool remodeled. Or you may have purchased a home with an existing pool that just doesn’t suit your needs or that needs to be remodeled or repaired in order to make it operational.  pool remodel

How do you decide if you pool needs to be remodeled versus your wanting it to be remodeled. Talk with your swimming pool contractor so he can inspect the pool, its equipment and other small items to determine the “must do” items versus the “would be nice to do” items.

What should you look at when deciding whether you should remodel your pool and how to kick off the project:

  1. Finding a pool remodeling contractor is the first step in the process. Work with the contractor who constructed your pool, if possible and if you were happy with his work. Talk with neighbors to find out who they use. Do an internet search for contractors located in your area who can do the items you need done and interview him.
  2. Ask your current pool service contractor for his advice on a pool remodeling project.
  3. You will need to obtain construction permits for the project. Ask us for help navigating this legal and permitting maze.
  4. Know how much you have to spend on your pool remodeling project. Keep those numbers in mind and address must-dos first.
  5. Interview and gather at least three estimates for the project and compare prices and equipment and the overall project apples to apples.

Now that pool season is winding down is the time to talk with a pool remodeling professional and kick the project off when you’re ready to close your pool for the season. This way you will greet the 2017 swim season with your newly remodeled pool.
